Hey Ladies, question for you, are you a wife?
I've heard and still hear many women dog men for not marrying them or for not marrying a woman they dated.
But my Bible reads in Proverbs 18:22 AMPC, “He who finds a [true] wife...” It doesn't say, he that finds a woman. So this teaches that a woman should be a wife before she is found by a man. What does this mean?
It means, you should already be functioning as a wife before the man comes.
A man giving a woman a ring does not make her a wife, she should already be a wife before the man shows up. When a man gives a woman a ring, in essence, she should already be a wife. Him giving her a ring signifies that he wants her to be his wife, not make her a wife.
In that same scripture, it goes on to say that a man finds a good thing when he finds a wife. Are you are good thing or are you mean and bitter? The bible talks about a wife being a help meet.
Are you a helper or a headache?
Are you a woman of resource or looking to be sourced?
Are you virtuous or vindictive?
So before you go being dogmatic towards men who won't or didn't marry you, ask yourself are you a wife?
Now, I’m not excusing a man or anyone who disregards marriage. That’s not what I’m saying. Ladies, I’m talking about found as already being a wife not being found to become a wife.
There are a lot of females who want a ring but they aren’t a wife. Instead of being dogmatic or being bitter because you didn’t get a ring, how about putting those energies into becoming a wife and then maybe a guy will decide to make you his wife.
If you want to know what being a wife looks like, read what God has to say about being a wife. The Bible talks about a wife being a home manager. Are you managing your home? Are you managing your finances? Are you managing yourself? The bible talks about not being a nag. It talks about being self-controlled with a gentle spirit. Take a look at the Proverbs 31 woman.
Get around godly women who are married and glean from them regarding being a wife. Stop looking for a ring.
A ring doesn't make you a wife.
You can have a ring and still not be a wife.
I know it's ah bit tight, but it's right. Ladies, stop sitting around waiting on a man and focus yourself on being a wife.
Ladies, I’ll ask again. Are you a wife?
If not, become one and then maybe you will become "the" one.
